Thank you to chefs and diners
Mushroom Mania 2009 was another outstanding success. With more than 1,800 restaurants, cafés, pubs and club taking part across Australia, Mushroom Mania has confirmed its place as the nation's leading food service campaign.
Diners around the country enjoyed a range of exciting new mushroom dishes as chefs exercised their creative talents with time-honoured favourite mushroom recipes and experimented with different mushroom varieties and flavours.
Mushroom Mania will be back in 2010.

Tobie Puttock named Mushroom Mania Ambassador 2009

Each year, Australian Mushroom Growers invite a leading chef with a genuine passion for mushrooms to take on the honorary role of Mushroom Mania Ambassador.
“I would like to tell other chefs that if they haven’t already, to explore the world of mushrooms. They are exciting and a great platform not only to bounce flavors but also to enhance them. From a duxelle used in sauces to a carpaccio of mushroom, for me, they are one of the most versatile ingredients available.”
